Ah-mazing! So beautiful and rich with culture and history. We are staying at Hotel Gaudí and it is gorgeous! Also, the staff are so wonderful and friendly!

Had a lovely day exploring in Barcelona. Its very easy to navigate around. Had some tapas in a restaurant and some lovely churros with chocolate dipping sauce. Walked round the market and the main street then headed back to the ship.

After our second visit to Barcelona we concluded that we really do need more time to explore. This time we stayed at Hotel Europark, maybe two blocks away from Betlem, an excellent restaurant with a creative menu and great pricing. We found the Metro to be very easy to use. The Gothic Quarter was a treat.... Barcelona Cathdral and The Picasso Museum are easily accessible on the yellow line - get off at Il Jaume. If you're staying for a few days at a hotel in town, definitely take the time to venture out on foot.... for a cheap night out visit any Super Mercat within walking distance of your hotel for a selection of sliced meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, olives, crackers, beer, wine, liquors, etc. and enjoy a picnic in your hotel room. On this visit Hotel Europark was great.....nice buffet breakfast, nice little bar and a pool on the roof, too!
