We were a party of 2 couples traveling for the 1st time to Med and on the Oasis. We boarded in Rome vs Barcelona and would recommend that due to ease of boarding and zero waiting. Ship and staff was amazing. Felt zero motion. Since it was so port intensive we did not enjoy the ship as much as normal but still great. Aqua show was amazing, the Quest was hilarious, as were the comedians. Pool deck was crowded on our only sea day as expected. We loved the Main dining food for dinner and breakfast. Windjammer was good as well, no issues with finding a table. While we had an amazing time, we would not sail Oasis class again. Just a little too big and we did miss the water views. Both of these we knew ahead of time so we did not see them as negatives as some folks have mentioned without doing the research. I do understand the Oasis class appeal. Internet was a bit spotty a few times and I truly felt sorry for the young lady getting drilled over the issue. Overall a truly amazing trip and ship and staff. We always say we are not necessarily brand loyal only but RCI always seems to lure us back. Far winds and following seas to all those sailing in the future.....
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We joined the cruise in mid cycle in Civitavecchia and literally had no one at security or the check in / waiting area. From taxi to ship it was 10mins. Found out 80% of the ship joined in Barcelona.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We are in the Main Dining room all nights but one. Staff , Iwayan & Enesa were wonderful as was the menu. We did not have a bad option.
We also ate at 150 Central Park and it was very good , but we all prefer Chops. Still great atmosphere and meal and the specialty Martini is amazing!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
More than enough to do and then some, however since this cruise was so port/excursion heavy we did not participate as we normally would have if we sailed this ship in the Caribbean.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Only can give 4/5 due to Raphael, the piano player in the Schooner bar. He refused requests, even refused to sing happy birthday to one of the Schooner bar wait staff. Even got to the point in between sets he approached our party and what to argue about what he wanted to play versus what the passengers wanted to hear. The bar staff were wonderful here and we came for them and a great seat over looking the promenade and the musicians playing there. I would mark this lower however there were too many other wonderful musicians throughout the ship that I do not want to discount.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Easily over achieved our expectations, from dining to bar to room stewards. If you consider the volume and diversity of passengers compounded with the same for the ships crew, these folks made you feel welcomed and sad to leave.
Ship Quality

I know she will be overhauled soon but she still looked great
Cabin / Stateroom

Largest inside cabin we have stayed in, quiet, dark and close to elevators. Perfect room after a long fun filled day
Ship tip
Book all shows in advance, however take advantage of standby options for all shows if you find an evening working in your favor to watch one.
Florence is amazing and besides the leaning tower complex nothing to say about Pisa. This was an RCI tour that could have had time trimmed off in Pisa. Still fabulous and had amazing Cannoli in the Pisa shopping area.
