Went to Cassis. Little train ride to enter village was cute. (They want to cut down on cars)Visited three calanques once there. Again, the scenery is amazing. Wish we would have hiked some of the rocky shores.

Did not do an excursion here. But I wish we had. We walked to the free bus station near the port. Was so crowded! Walked to the next bus stop for a few euros rode into town. We took the trolley to the church at the top of the hill - worth the trip- and lunched at the marina. Ferris wheel was not running but we enjoyed the view and shopped along the many streets.

We took a tour to Provence to St Remy, Le Baux de Provence, and Carrières de Lumières. Absolutely amazing excursion. Highly recommend. Wowed by everything! Experiencing an art installation at Carrières de Lumières (inside the caverns of an ancient limestone mine), surrounded by images and engulfed in music was an experience I'll never forget.

Do not book the ship shuttle, it is to much expensive. There is a free shuttle to the town (organized by the city of Marseille), and the bring you direct to the city without any costs. Marseille is a nice old city with the old port, the cathedral Notre Dame de la garde, new great buildings and nice restaurants.

I went to Aux-en-provence that is an old town with a cab. I spent the day over there shopping and taking pictures with my family. It was crowded but it wasn't too hot
