Everything ran smoothly. This was our first cruise so we were not sure what to expect but it was much less stressful than an airport!

We traveled all over Europe for 3 months with just 4 days in London. London was very crowded with lots of construction, but we did enjoy the free museums. We wished we had spent more time in Southampton. We took the National Express bus to get to the port, which was great!

We came a day early, so we took the train to Portsmouth home of the British Navel ports. There we toured the HMS Victory (The Battle of Trafalgar...Nelson vs. Napoleon then went on another ship the HMS Warrior circa 1860, and finished going on a submarine. We had a B & B there.

Very clean inside of terminal and the speed of the check-in was just outstanding! I definitely recommend leaving by Southampton’s terminal. The staff were also very helpful, with embarking to arriving.

This is our “home” port and as we have family in the area know it pretty well. For UK travellers the best parking option is to use cruisepark Southampton, very reasonable, secure parking and a great friendly family business, fee includes transfers to & from your ship. As a port, it is industrial and limited pedestrian access but the cruise terminals are well appointed and staff very helpful, our experience on 5/6 occasions has been a very swift and slick boarding process. Special considerations given for those who are disabled or companions of. Southampton city is not far away for those wanting to visit the local shopping - big mall type place called centre quay / westpoint For foreign travellers, don’t be duped into thinking this port is close to London as it states, it is a good couple hours to London and stone henge even though most cruise ships sell tours to both Windsor and stone henge. Great local or “chain” hotels to book and stay in before or after your cruise.
