12 night British Isles Cruise inc. Kirkwall, on the Crown Princess. This cruise exceeded our expectations, with so many magical highlights. We would definitely recommend this cruise, especially the Orkney Islands.

The Irish & Scottish cultural performances were wonderful!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Overall, the staff were great, other than our Stateroom Stewart Mario.
Our waiters in the Da Vinci dining room, (Josè and Sonja) were probably the best we've had the pleasure of meeting. Professional & courteous. Such assets to Princess Cruises.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
All the high standards that we would expect from a Princess cruise.
The only negative was no hand washing stations at the buffet, just anti bac hand gel, that wasn't well supervised. As a result, we mainly ate in the Da Vinci dining room, which ended up to be a fabulous decision :)
Cabin / Stateroom

Our first negative experience with a Ststeroom Stewart. Our bathroom was not cleaned properly from one day to the next. So much so, that my partner choose to clean it daily. Something that we have never needed to do previously, on other cruises. I spoke to Princess Cruises about this issue directly, on our return.
Ship tip
You'll have a fabulous time, just make sure you're careful, (hygiene wise), when you eat at the buffet.
Enjoyed a shore excursion to Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral & saw some Dublin highlights. What a fantastic day & our guide was friendly & knowledgeable.
Did a shore excursion to Edinburgh. Quite a long day, but worth getting to see the Scottish countryside along the way. The coach dropped us off at a central location, & we had 4.5 hours to explore Edinburgh. The weather was fantastic, as we meandered up the Royal Mile, a photo opportunity at every corner.
We decided to visit from this port, rather than Sth Queensferry, so my partner could enjoy St. Andrew's on that shore day. A decision well made, as we were to discover down the track...
A cold, wet day. I enjoyed High Tea in a quaint cafè in Sth Queensferry, snuggled next to a fire, & some local craft shopping. My partner did a shore excursion to St. Andrew's. I don't think anything would have ruined this excursion for him! His bucketlist is now another milestone closer to completion. We were both pleased that we had a lovely day, in completely different ways.
We did a shore excursion to the Blarney Village, & Blarney Woollen mills.
Enjoyed the Irish countryside, via the coach. Blarney village was a great way to start our Irish segment of this cruise.
Stunning! We were dropped off in Inverness & spent the day enjoying this spectacular place. We enjoyed a traditional Scottish lunch, & visiting the cathedral. The authentic tartan shops had some great value, (well made) products.
We caught the shuttle into the city. Found a nice memorial park, the cathedral was under renovations, so we couldn't enter.
The streets we visited had many boarded up shops, with pavements littered with rubbish & dog ...
We wish we'd taken the shore excursion to Hornflur, as those we spoke to post excursion said it was beautiful & in complete contrast to Le Havre.
