Review summary

Let me start with an embarkation where without prior notification they confiscate your passport, ostensibly to speed up international travel. BALONEY. I have been on multiple European cruises and this is the first time it was ever done. Additionally with identity theft on the rise, I DO NOT want anyone with my passport. And of course they tell you to have some other sort of government ID on you. MEMO TO IDIOTS. When you travel overseas you do not necessarily bring other ID with you. On of course after I had my heart set on the Normandy Beaches, and BOOKED a Princess Tour [they bought out all of the available seats on any Normandy Tours so they were the only game in town]I find out that I cannot go because I am disembarking at LeHavre and am no longer their guest. [I was their guest when they took my money]And of course they let the TOURING passengers off of the boat immediately and let the disembarking passengers wait until 830 to leave. Absolutely obnoxious and disrespectfull. Regarding food: I have NEVER spent a week with tasteless food that belongs in a college dorm cafeteria like this. It is pathetic. Does the chef have any clue how to spice food. Tasteless was a kind word: The only decent coffee I had was in the specialty coffee shot [had to pay] the only decent cake was in the specialty restaurant and the I cannot say that I enjoyed a SINGLE meal on the ship and I AM certainly NOT a foody. In short, the the expense USE ANOTHER CRUISE LINE. I have sailed, Holland, Royal Carib, even Carnival and each of those were better than this dump. And my favorite is leaving ports late because of Low tide. Memo to idiots. Any of us who took third grade science know that Tidal Charts are predictable months in advance. I guess the SS Minow and its captain and master Captain and Gilligan skipped that class in boat school.

Stay home

When they specifically invoke the names of other cruise lines, I tend to ignore those reviews. Next time, stay home. "Bored to tears" I call it hanging out by the pool with a nice drink.

This is such an unrealistic review. Not constructive at all, it makes you look like a grumpy old man who yes, should stay home.

I was on that same cruise and had an AMAZING time. Not a lot to do on the ship but it's a very port intensive cruise. I found the food to be pretty good but as always on a cruise it's hit and miss. Every crew member I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Had a great room steward.

Wow. What did you really think?

Should have stayed home.

I agree. Maybe stay home.

Lol. My suggestion is that you need to just not travel. You appear to be too picky and too angry to be around other travelers trying to enjoy themselves.
