We di... d not want the stress of trying to get off a ship and get to an airport and get on a plane to fly internationally all in one day. Worked great for us.See More

A: That port and route to Heathrow is very congested and slow. We had priority disembarkation on Celebrity which docked at 5am. We headed down at 7:30 and on a quick bus at 7:45 but so busy it was almost 2 hours to get to airport for 1:10pm flight. We h... ad enough time to sit in an airport lounge. Arranged our early ride in advance through the ship. Our bus was specifically for early flights. If you can walk off your own luggage, you can get off ship the earliest.See More

Good conversation for $50 more than bus. He got us right to door load... ed luggage off and was there plenty of time for our 3:30 international flight!! However when we do this again???? A: As someone else has mentioned, I take stugeron as a precaution, then my sea legs kick in and I’m okay!

Answered by GilliB on September 19, 2023

A: I famously get seasick on a wet pavement! So far I’ve been across the North Sea from Southampton to Norway (twice) and through the Bay of Biscay many times. I’ve never been fully seasick but have felt queasy occasionally. I have patches (Scopolomine... ) which you can get from Boots, but often need to order them in advance. They work well but leave me with a dry throat and a loss of taste for a day or so. Recently I’ve found Sturgeron15 does the trick. Take 2 within 2 hours of sailing and follow the instructions in the booklet. Often the medical centre on board will carry anti sea sickness medication and in some cases you can get an injection but if course that does cost. Despite my lack of Sea legs I love being at sea and find that lying down in a darkened stateroom works if it gets too much. Happy sailingSee More

A: Hi, yes, you'll normally get this information (in the case of P&O) typically around 3 weeks before you set sail. As a rule, this information is available on the P&O website. If you login using a booking reference number, your first and last name and... DOB it should tell you your cabin number. As a rule you can also book dining experiences, shore excursions, drinks packages, internet and other extras ahead of the cruise. I would strongly recommend completion of the online check-in process, including uploading a picture of yourself to save time later at check in. When you arrive onboard you can use your booking pass for any of the amenities but do bear in mind you will not normally be able to access your cabin until this is announced. When you arrive at your cabin your luggage is taken up to your room, and your cruise card (which acts as payment and your room key) should be in a sealed envelope ready to use.Note the abve is based on my experiences with P&O. Different cruise lines may differ.Enjoy your cruise!See More

A: Fastest way is a taxi. Second fastest is National Express which is direct. When choosing a bus time do make note that it can take up to 90 minutes to get through Heathrow to get to bus terminal. Next would be the train but unfortunately Heathrow does... not have a rail system. You’d have to either take the tube into London or reading and catch direct trains from either of these places. In order of price from lowest to most expensive, National Express, Train and taxi.See More

Answered by dkantouth on April 28, 2022

A: I looked at the Lloyds £29.99 20 minute test and it seems to be a lateral flow - not sure that’s accepted as sufficient. RC say PCR or antigen test needed.

A: have you thought about hiring a car, i reckon it would take you 90 mins from Southampton to Warner Brothers studio. Drive up M3 then M25 till junction 20

Answered by MJ1960 on March 13, 2022

A: We live near the Warner Brothers Studio. It isn't actually in London but it is in Leavesden, Watford which is 20 mins by train from Euston station. You would have to get a train to London Waterloo (approx 1hr 20 mins) then go across London to Euston... to get a train to Watford Junction. (20 mins). You can then get a shuttle bus to the studios from the train station. Hope this helps.See More
