I famously get seasick on a wet pavement! So far I’ve been across the North Sea from Southampton to Norway (twice) and through the Bay of Biscay many times. I’ve never been fully seasick but have felt queasy occasionally. I have patches (Scopolomine) which you can get from Boots, but often need to order them in advance. They work well but leave me with a dry throat and a loss of taste for a day or so. Recently I’ve found Sturgeron15 does the trick. Take 2 within 2 hours of sailing and follow the instructions in the booklet. Often the medical centre on board will carry anti sea sickness medication and in some cases you can get an injection but if course that does cost. Despite my lack of Sea legs I love being at sea and find that lying down in a darkened stateroom works if it gets too much. Happy sailing

Have done the bay many times. it can be rough for 1 day but then fine. patches are good or can get meds from GP if you suffer bad. chewing ginger does help and you can get these from Holland and Barrat

As someone else has mentioned, I take stugeron as a precaution, then my sea legs kick in and I’m okay!

Try ginger sweets, biscuits or ginger tea. Also green apples, seasickness medication or sea bands. Different things work for different people. I would recommend taking the medication 30 minutes or so before boarding and definitely the ginger x

Don't worry it'll be fine crossed Biscay many times only had 2 rough crossings but didn't feel much rocking.

Try to find Seabands...they provide acupressure on the inside of your wrists and work well for me. Plus there are no side effects to worry about@

Stugeron has always worked for me. I’ve heard a few people get side effects from the patches. My mum had a jab in her bum once from the onboard nurse, which worked really well!

Our crossing was as smooth as glass.

We have also used sea bands and find they work well.
