Iceland is beautiful and wild. Please protect that. In the city, I enjoyed Icelandic Fish & Chips. We did not do much else within the actual city other than wander and eat. Outside the city is the Blue Lagoon, which you need transport to and should prebook your tickets.

the city itself is not that exciting on tour so get out of town and see more unique sights

If you plan on renting a car in Reykavjick from cruise port, be advised that on-site at port are cars for Enterprise and Europecar. Rent from them!!! We made a HUGE mistake by renting with Dollar/Thrifty which is 11 mins off-site and rental took over 1.5 hours to get car!!! We never found free shuttle so we even had to take a taxi to office. I would have gladly paid double to not have a 2 hour delay to get on our journey. Last shuttle to ship is 430p! So if you plan on having car entire day be advised!

We took a tour, manly because the buses into Reykjavik where very expensive they said it would be a 30 minute bus ride into the city, totally incorrect I did the same trip 2 years ago and it was a 20 minute walk.

Three excursions during the 2 days. Golden Circle visiting surrounding areas and sites, including the rift between the European and North American tectonic plates. City tour visiting major city highlights. "Let's Go Volcano" tour included entering volcanic tube, and three inactive volcanic sites. Also included visit to geothermal power plant.

We did the Golden Circle tour in Iceland and saw the spectacular waterfall. Had little time at the waterfall so we had to rush to get down the path to see it up close. The geysers were small (compared to the USA "Old Faithful" Geyser). Lunch was provided which was fish. No other option was offered to those who do not eat seafood. It was family style serving and portion was small. The volcanic terrain was interesting to see. Overall, glad to have experienced Iceland.

Our 2nd visit to this beautiful country. We signed up for a whale-watching excursion with the ShoreExcursionsGroup but missed the excursion because we were provided with the wrong pickup time. We got a full refund but would have preferred to see the whales.
