A: I used outside vendors. I have to say that we stayed overnight and I booked my trips on the first day. Just to avoid the risk of not being back on time.

A: You should do what you’re comfortable with. We used an outside vendor and had a fabulous time. No worries about arriving back on time (we had plenty) and saved quite a bit of money.

A: Check out outside operators that do the Ring Road, Blue Lagoon or South Coast tours. All done from Reykjavik. Yes, Iceland is a lot of waterfalls and they are amazing.

Q: Trying to decide if I should take a 14 hr tour to Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon or just stick with a 10 hour tour of south island. I expect we will see more icebergs in Greenland

A: Both tours sound amazing! If you want to see more icebergs and stunning glacier landscapes, the 14-hour tour to Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon might be worth the extra time. Diamond Beach’s black sand with icebergs and the Glacier Lagoon are incred... ible highlights. If you prefer a shorter trip with a broader exploration of the South Island, the 10-hour tour is a great option. Given your interest in Greenland’s icebergs, the longer tour might offer a preview of what’s to come!See More

A: Yes, there are porter services at Keflavík Airport (KEF) to help with luggage. You can book Meet & Greet services (personalized assistance) or baggage porter services (like BagDrop) online in advance. https://www.isavia.is/en/keflavik-airport/about-k... ef/contact-usSee More

Q: we're flying into Iceland before our cruise, traveling with prescription heart and blood pressure medications. when I fly domestic I typically just use a weekly "daily dose" case. Can I use this flying internationally, or do I need to keep them in the original containers? I will have a list of all prescriptions from my doctor as well.

A: I keep pressing the wrong button leading to multiple answers. In any event it may be wise to also carry additional meds that you do not necessarily need at the moment. example we carry antibiotics, steroids, and others including paxlovid just in case.
Answered by radiationman on May 20, 2023
A: make sure you carry all your meds in carry on. I carry mine in my backpack. always take extra just in case your return home is delayed.
Answered by radiationman on May 20, 2023
A: I have taken meds in daily dose containers to many foreign countries with no trouble. I also take the scripts just in case Customs asks or I need to order more. this is just personal anecdotal experience do not rely on what I'm saying.

A: About 4 kms if you walk it. It’s walkable, relatively flat along the oceanfront. But if you have luggage, get transport.
Answered by DreaminAgain on January 18, 2023
A: It is walkable from the port to the city. You follow a path along the oceanfront, so it’s relatively flat, but it’s about 4kms and will take you over an hour one way to walk. I wouldn’t do it with luggage, but I did it while we were docked in port, b... ecause I had time to and I wanted to walk around the city.See More
