We just took the shuttle bus into the city, which was good since we came 2 days early and had seen some of Athens already.

Busy but what do you expect? Guide was great pointing out sites and regaling us with stories of ancient Greece.

One day was enough, but, we stay two. Heard the same from many shipmates. It was interesting to see all that Athens had to offer.

Athens is heartbreaking. The ruins are fascinating, but when you get away from the hordes of tourists you see boarded up buildings and people sleeping on the sidewalk midday. 28% unemployment is not helped by tourism.
