We very much loved this cruise! The one major disappointment (Knossos closed) was overshadowed by the rest of the cruise, and any issues (noisy room, premium liquor package availability at all bars were dealt with to our satisfaction).
Thank you VIKING!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Long lines and long walk, but pretty efficient
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Excellent variety and quality. Very little Greek focus. Italian Restaurant and Chef's Table are a must. Chef's table publishes menus somewhat ahead, we were able to secure a reservation to our desired menu. The Red wine tasting and the single malt tasting were both worth the small extra charge.
Onboard Activities

Spa was first class! Great massage.
Entertainment

Very good. Particularly liked the concert violinist, the string duo, and the Guitarist who was especially talented and entertaining!
Children's Programs
No children on Cruise
Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

The Cabins were really nice; veranda, lift up lighted makeup mirror in the desk, excellent shower! 3054 was over the late night disco club and very noisy; drums could have been right in the cabin!
We were moved to 4092 which solved the problem.
Ship tip
The alchohol in the premium package was not available at all bars! We had to insist that the staff go and get the alchohol we had paid for in advance!
On Sunday the Greek (Crete?) government moved Labor Day from Sunday May 1, to Monday May 2 (the day we were in port), closing the Palace of Knossos which had been the primary reason for choosing this particular cruise. The internet sign up for the excursion simply said "sold out" so I booked a private tour thru ToursbyLocals.com. Seems like there could have been more explanation like "possibly not available". BTW the private tour company is refunding my payment, and we did do a short walk around the charming port.
