I went to the botanical gardens and was thrilled with the gardens and also the lecture that introduced us to the gardens and the diet of the Cretans who have a very high longevity rate and avoid the diseases of the western diet.

This port is actually surprising. There isn't much to do in Souda, so take the public bus (meets right at the port) to Chania and walk around the town - so beautiful!

No excursion. Took a bus to the center of town but weren't really sure which way to go so asked for directions & found the port area which wasn't hard to find or far to go. The area was beautiful & lots to see & do. Had a nice relaxing day & enjoyed our time there.

We did not expect this to be as charming as it was (it was a former military base in WWII), but the town and the streets are beautiful.

Shore excursion was helpful in understanding this area, and monastery was interesting too. Again, a very helpful, clear, & Well-informed guide. The marketplace we got to visit at the end was helpful for last chance shopping in Greece. Shore excursion preview should use the proper pronunciation of Chania, which is "Hahn-YA"
