If you like history, this is OK. The ride to a lot of excursions are 1.5 hours or so. Don't go if you can help it. Nothing to do at dock. Stay on ship or book excursion.

Expensive cab ride and nothing really close. However, you can walk to town (~15 minutes) though the people at the front gate are reluctant to tell you that. There were plenty of police watching the streets.

Wasn't too impressed with this Island. Did the beach excursion to Catalonia Resort. Most workers we encountered spoke very little English & not useful in helping us. The details did not say the BBQ was a shrimp included in BBQ (2 sisters are allergic to shrimp & sea food), so it took asking 8 people what the alternative food options were & where. Drinks were watered down. Beach area was nice, relaxing & entertaining (clothing was optional) with all the Speedos, etc. Not many port shops.

Don’t be scared of this stop it’s a beautiful place . I booked my family’s excursion thru Carnival and enjoyed Monkey Land .

We did the Monkey Land excursion and had a blast, would definitely do it again! The stray dogs pull at the heart strings at this port.
