Ocho Rios was nice and Dunn's River Falls was beautiful. However, the second you get off the bus at Dunn's River Falls, we were bombarded by peddlars trying to sell us little useless things. They were very pushy and would not take no for an answer. This continued the whole time while in the falls area. It was very annoying. You would think the staff (tour guides) would control it a bit better, or at least give us a warning. We were totally taken off guard with it all. Other than that, Jamaica was a very beautiful place and had a great time on the beach (no peddlars there).

Ocho rios was a great surprise. on other reviews before I went there, people complaint about the local being pushy. After doing so many other cruises, I found that Jamaican locals were less pushy than people in Bahamas, st thomas or mexico. they were very friendly and were just trying to make a living, just like any other place that the economy depends on tourism.

Went swimming with the dolphins, and saw the waterfall (bring swim shoes for this one), but the shopping was horrible because the natives won't stop harassing you to buy their stuff. I give it an A for the dolphin swim and dunn river falls, but an F for the free time to shop just go to the beach afterwards.

dunn's river falls was fun. others did zip line in forest and said that was fun. If you have any sense of independence or adventure, do the excursions on your own. Curise prices are way too high. Need to be careful in Jamaica. Natives are constantly trying to force items upon you and they trying to collect for the "free gift" That became annoying.

We just walked to the end of the pier and were hoping that the 2 large buildings there had shopping in them. One was a customs building with bathrooms. and the other building was completely empty. There were about 15 stalls around the parking area all of them with the exact same merchandise: T shirts and Purses and bags and other souvenirs. Couldn't walk past a stall without hearing comments to come closer to see what they were selling. There were also the usual ladies braiding hair. We didn't go on a shore excursion--but everyone who did said that the excursion was great.

The locals were very happy to have a ship in port and to sell us their stuff. Jamaica was very strict on their rules, masks on both indoors and outdoors. Security was walking around everywhere and they kept track of who came from the ship and who went back. I kinda felt bad for the locals because they were being watched so closely. There were temperature scanners in several doorways and if you scanned hot, you couldn't go into the store. They had the port/tourism area roped off, and if we were not on an approved excursion, we were not allowed beyond the Margaritaville shops. There's a starbucks in the shopping area, and there were a couple of fun street entertainers with tip boxes, that we and several others tipped in.

The "shark tank" to get off the boat was expected but we really enjoyed our time at Margaritaville.

We went to Bamboo Beach Club. Many of us thought it was a resort with a private beach. Instead it was a dirty secluded beach with too many people. The free drinks were served in 6oz glasses and everything was warm. The food was nothing more than rice and something they said was sausage. It was hot, dirty, and disorganized. The Jamaican staff was also really rude because they thought everyone was really drunk and would be "hard to handle." They were also very rude in asking for tips. They would refuse you service until you guaranteed to give them a certain amount of money. Don't waste your money on this excursion
