Review summary

This was 2nd cruise on Enchantment and first since the addition. The Ship is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Food was excellent and plentiful. We had a balcony room for the first time (we have had four other cruises) and we loved it. Worth the extra money if you take the time to enjoy it!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent and plentiful. Good variety to choose from. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. We had first searting which worked out well. Couples and others who want to avoid young kids may want to choose 2nd seating. Midnight buffets were great - lots of work goes into them _ beautiful ice carvings, flower bouquets made from vegetables, carved watermelons and other fruit. Great job.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Rock climbing wall and trampolines were busy and fun. Lounge chairs get scarce early on days at sea. People save chairs even though its now "allowed" and leave chairs empty for hours which leads others to move their stuff of the chairs and take them. Good shows. Very good entertainers brought on board for shows. Bingo was fun as were other shows. entertainment on pool deck got everyone involved.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Our kids (ages 15 & 12) are now teenagers and did not want to have anything to do with the kids clubs at first. Then they found they could hang out until midnight or later in the clubs and started meeting other kids and hanging out there. Very safe on board.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff helpful throughout ship from housekeeping to food service to entertainers to staff helping with climbing wall and trampolines

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is good size. Very clean. Hand sanitizers upon entering for meals and upon boarding ship at ports. Bathrooms and facilities throughout ship were clean and in good condition.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
You will never have a big room or lots of space on a cruise ship unless you pay BIG bucks. But our room was adequate for us and our 2 kids (ages 15 & 12). Balcony was great for views in port and of sunsets and just to watch the water run off the side of the ship as it made its wake.

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

dunn's river falls was fun. others did zip line in forest and said that was fun. If you have any sense of independence or adventure, do the excursions on your own. Curise prices are way too high. Need to be careful in Jamaica. Natives are constantly trying to force items upon you and they trying to collect for the "free gift" That became annoying.
Don't Miss: Dunn's river Falls

George Town, Grand Cayman

Very beautiful island. Still undergoing some repair from 04 hurricane. 7 Mile Beach is beautiful - again skip the excursion and just take a taxi to public beach. So picturesque. Beautiful sand and water. Good snorkeling failry close to beach. Nice outdoor skate park - Black Pearl - if you're into that.
Don't Miss: 7 Mile Beach

Pros: Enchantment is a BEAUTIFUL ship

Cons: Natives constantly trying to push items on you in Jamaica
