This was our first cruise and this was the third port of our trip. The tour guide and bus driver both were amazing. I have been on this app for a few weeks now and I have to say this, This is an awesome tool for first time cruisers or potential cruisers, they can read reviews and they can asks questions. I have noticed that there are people here who think they are above the first timers or those who are getting started. I think it's cool if you've been on twenty or more cruises, but that doesn't make you better than anyone else here, just makes you more experienced at cruising. Then there are those people who are here telling people what a bad experience they had on one of the excursions or on the ship. I am sorry that you had a bad experience and I respect your opinion, but give your bad experience and leave it at that. Don't tell others they shouldn't do something based on your bad experience, because what you find a bad experience someone else could enjoy. I see A LOT of people posting negative experiences on shore with locals, " they bombard you trying to sell you stuff", you are on a tourist island coming off of a ship. Just like here in the USA, if you don't want to buy something, politely say No thank you and move on. *but remember you traveled to their country to vacation and enjoy their country. I experienced my first cruise last year and I was so excited to see the other countries and their culture. I remember on the Jamaica port, they sent a memo as well as an announcement over the ship PA about securing your belonging and not taking unnecessary belongings... When I exited the ship, I was a little nervous about this port. But to my surprise I would meet some of the nicest people I have ever met, and they opened their country to my family and myself. We all enjoyed this port and our excursion was a bus tour of the area and we learned a lot about the culture and we were welcomed. I noticed that there was no issues with a persons race and I noticed that EVERYONE on our excursion was comfortable and no one felt out of place. I read comments or post here and people say things that lead me to believe that they were looking to find a reason to be negative about something. Bottom line, this is your vacation and we all take vacations to get away from our normal day to day. Enjoy yourself and relax! "This is your experience, make it the best experience YOU want it to be."

Ocho Rios is so fire. 🔥🔥🔥. Here we ended up doing the "Bamboo Beach Club " excursion, in which we were undecided because of the reviews. But it turned out to be a great experience. After you get off the ship, you walk to a specific location where you will meet the tour guide from Jamaica and they'll take you on a bus that drops you at the beach. When you get there food/drinks all inclusive, music and free beach chairs to relax. The food is delicious, my wife loved it. This beach has the clearest blue water I ever seen. Plus it's nice and clean with free wifi just in case you wanna take a selfie to post on social media. Next time around we'll try "Dunns River" excursion We had a very good experience. Highly recommended.

We had a great time in Ocho Rios. Had a private tour with Raymond ( 1 876 883 9595). Had a great time tasting food, fruit and rum of Jamaica. Hope to go back.

We were today in Jamaica with the MSC Seashore! Had an amazing day. We booked a tour to go Bamboo rafting, Swim in the blue hole, went to a jerk restaurant and ended the day with a spectacular view from the mountain. Cayman is not possible but this makes everything ok 🙏 Chris Tours Have arranged everything safe and perfect and on time!

Jamaica is my favorite port! I love reggae music as well! I did the Bob Marley Experience and it was a long 37 Mile bus ride up into the mountains to 3500 ft above sea level. It was breathtaking! The terrain is just beautiful! Once at the Bob Marley Foundation, it was great! Learned lots and took lots of great photos! Haven’t done the beach thing in Jamaica but I sure can recommend touring through the area to take in the beauty!

This was our first trip to Jamaica. We enjoyed our time there. Beautiful island, friendly people and the best jerk chicken. I was nervous about stopping here after reading all of the reviews of the pushy locals. I will say I never experienced any of that. There are a lot of taxi drivers asking you if you need a ride anywhere. We just said “no, thank you” and kept walking. The locals in the shops by the port were very nice and helpful. We did the Sky Ride/Jamaican Bobsled excursion. The employees at Mystic Mountain were polite and accommodating to everyone. The views from the sky ride were breathtaking! The ride to the top takes about 15-20 minutes. The line for the bobsled was about 1 hour for us. The ride down was loads of fun! My 18 and 14 year old enjoyed it! You control the speed down. Our shuttle driver told us to drive it like we stole it! We traveled with my parents. They sat in the restaurant enjoying the views while waiting on us on the bobsled. Their waitress Ann-Marie was very accommodating and made sure they were comfortable. We ate the best jerk chicken there. Views from the observation tower were beautiful! I was surprisingly pleased with this port!

Loved Ocho Rios, such a laid back port. Took a bus ride through the rainforest, to the top of a mountain for cocktails and majestic views. Learned about Jamaican jerk and cocoa which of course are native to the land. Driver was more than accommodating to stop at all the shops we asked for, and returned us to Port with plenty time to spare. Best $20 I've spent in a long time. I would love to return on a direct flight at an all inclusive. 💜 It!

If you don't have an excursion booked, walk to the left along the water to a private beach. It's $3 per person, but it was very large, not at all crowded, there's shade and the service was fantastic. The public beach was super small, crowded and there was no shade. Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. We took the same glass bottom boat tour as other guests on our ship. They paid like $50 per person and because they were trying to fill the boat, we got it for $10 per person once we got off the ship!!
