Jamaica was our least favorite destination. We didn't book a excursion (just wanted to explore & shop) but then we was hassled by hundreds of people trying to braid our hair, take our picture, sell us weed which you can't smoke in public by the way (LoL) They was aggressive, wouldn't take no for a anwser & some followed us around for 2 hours! If we ever go back to Jamaica we will defiantly be booking a excursion to avoid this area. A lot of other cruisers that did excursions said they was awesome (Horse back riding on the beach & the Falls) we heard was really cool! On a good note: it was super Beautiful!

The locals are very aggressive. This is the least of my fav ports because of that but the island was lovely. We had a great excursion at the blue hole, dining at a local restaurant, & shopping.

Visited Blue Hole and Kaz Kreole Beach through Sham and Orion Tours. Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Tons of marijuana smokers everywhere in Jamaica. You’ll get a contact high even if you’re careful to try to steer clear. Beware of you drug test for work!

The ghetto of Jamaica!. Police presence with machine guns everywhere. Took us to the Dunn Falls. Very dangerous! I would highly discourage most from attempting to climb. Several people got severely injured; including my mother-in-law. When you exist the falls; the vendors harass you like you've never been harassed before in your life! And when you refuse to buy; they tell you F-you to your face! Even try to sell you marijuana! Don't eat or drink anything! Diarrhea for the entire next day! Do yourself a favor and stay on the boat; unless you're docking at Montego Bay; which is where they should have brought us!

Stay away from the recommended Taj Ma Hal; tourist trap! No real bargains here! Get a cab to take you interior for shopping t-shirts and various trinkets.Ask cabby to take you to a "locals" place to eat, you will not be disappointed. Final stop before re-boarding is Margaritaville; good cheap drinks and fun atmosphere, not worth eating a burger there....you can get that anywhere.

3 stars because the island it self is a gorgeous island, however I'm giving one star because i was s grabbed by a local by my arm and he told me to come in his shop, my fiancé framed out but thank god the cops were there and the told the guy to not ever touch tourists. We were hounded the entire time to purchase stuff the entire way to the jewelry store. I was in search of a dolphin pendant. And I finally found the one I loved here but we had such a bad time and experience here. I will never go back to this island. The locals are just way too pushy and aggressive. I can deal with people asking us to buy stuff because I understand that's how they make money but don't ever put your hands on me.

Climbing the Dunn River Falls was a great adventure. Be sure and take change because the guides are very insistent upon a tip. Don't let anyone take your picture unless you plan to buy it. We got stuck with a $5 polaroid picture we didn't want. Dolphin cove was ok, but thre really wasn't much of a beach there.

Nice little shopping area. We did an excursion with a small bus. The driver was very informative about the area. We were very rushed at the end when we wanted to do some shopping. The people there are very pushy to get you to buy things.
