The staff is all over the place. One thing they all share: overworked and underpaid! They try their best to conceal; but it's written all over their faces; in all corners of the ship and the company does not care. They work for 8 months straight; 7 days a week; 12+ hours a day! Don't believe the commercials on TV. Ship is indeed beautiful; but everything else is below par. As mentioned; you can forget about customer service. Not existent on this ship!
Embarkation

Rude and rushed around like inmates!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
As mentioned above; the ship itself is beautiful. The staff on the other hand is a complete disaster. People from poor countries; paid poorly; and treated poorly. Very ugly to witness such behavior while on what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation!
Onboard Activities

Plenty of things to do for everyone and of all ages.
Entertainment

Service and Staff

Guest services is non-existent. Don't even bother trying to call. No answer. And when you go in person; rejection and excuses and excuses for every complaint you may have!
Ship Quality

However our balcony was full of bird feces; and did not get cleaned till the last night while sleeping. For half of our cruise; the balcony was not accessible because of the mess and smell.
Cabin / Stateroom

Balcony was very large! Room was just enough. Bathroom is extremely small (like on an airplane)!
Ship tip
Ship is gorgeous! Customer service is non-existent; thus if you expect to be catered to: MSC is not the cruise for you!
Took us to Ocho Rio Jamaica (ghetto of Jamaica). Police presence with machine guns everywhere. Took us to the Dunn Falls. Very dangerous! I would highly discourage most from attempting to climb. Several people got severely injured; including my mother-in-law. When you exist the falls; the vendors harass you like you've never been harassed before in your life! And when you refuse to buy; they tell you F-you to your face! Even try to sell you marijuana! Don't eat or drink anything! Diarrhea for the entire next day! Do yourself a favor and stay on the boat; unless you're docking at Montego Bay; which is where they should have brought us! Captain decided not to let us off at Georgetown, Grand Cayman because in his view the waters were a bit too rough and the ship cannot dock there. You have to take small ferry boats from the vessel to the mainland. Mexico is nice and so are it's people. But the excursion was rushed beyond belief. Nassau, Bahamas was the only port of call with no issues. The Atlantis adventure experience is the thing to do. Spare yourselves trying other excursions.

Tulum Ruins are worth the visit if you've never been there. The whole excursion was rushed. Had to run back to the vessel; as it was waiting for us (everyone that visited Tulum). Thankfully we booked the excursion(s) through the ship. Never book them through third-party. You risk the ship leaving you behind!
When we sailed on carnival we spoke with numerous bar tenders and waiters and our floor stewards and GUESS WHAT they were ALL from different countries and worked the same schedules I’m guessing if they didn’t like it they would find a different line of work, 2 of them were on their retiring cruise with us after 16-18 years in the cruising customer care service, so as Yashu had said maybe the looks and attitudes they portrayed was do to rude and ungrateful passengers possibly like yourselves
Maybe the look on the staffs faces is not that of being overworked by the company but that of having to deal with rude passengers. I've had great conversations with staff on many cruise ships including MSC and they are very happy to work the time they do even if they are at it for months, what upsets many of them is having to deal with rude passengers who don't understand the companies policies and demand everything under the sun.
