A Great Cruise

Sail Date: June 19, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The Imagination was a great ship. It was very clean and our room on the Empress Deck was very nice. The bed was excellent and very comfortable. The Buffet area was clean overall, but had flies. They were in the process of updating the ship, so one of the pools was closed and painted while we were on board. Overall, I would highly recommend the ship.

Pros: Swimming with the Stingrays at Cayman Island

Cons: The guides pushing for money at the Dunn's River Falls.

Food and Dining
We were disappointed in being given an 8:30 seating when we had requested a 6:15 seating. The dining room service was very slow which made us not get out until after 10 pm. We only ate in the dining room three times.
Ship Quality
Even though there were pictures of the ship layout near the elevators, it would have been nice to have a personal size picture to use.
Cabin / Stateroom
The bed was exceptionally comfortable. There was very little outside noise.
Service and Staff
Very good staff.
Entertainment
The shows were very good. There was only one show scheduled on the last evening, so there was not enough seating. The rest of the time we had great seats.
George Town, Grand Cayman
The swim and feeding of the stingrays was excellent. The snorkling with this excursion was also great. Take an underwater camera with you.
Don't Miss: The stingrays
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Climbing the Dunn River Falls was a great adventure. Be sure and take change because the guides are very insistent upon a tip. Don't let anyone take your picture unless you plan to buy it. We got stuck with a $5 polaroid picture we didn't want. Dolphin cove was ok, but thre really wasn't much of a beach there.
