Overall Ocho Rios was not my favorite port. Though I do regret not doing a proper excursion at this port. We ended up getting a driver for the day who took us to many local areas and markets. It was amazing to see how the locals live but did feel a bit uneasy safety wise. If I ever come back I will most likely do the limestone falls.

Dunn River Falls was neat to climb...don't like that you're expected to tip everyone...the Brimmer estates was less than expected. ..

If you golf and expect to play nice resort courses, definitely don't play at Sandals GC. It was very average and felt like a waste for the nearly $200 fee. The rest of our family went to Dunns Falls and had a good time, but I felt like a wasted an opportunity to see a little bit of Jamica.

dunns falls and river rafting are great.Don't book through ship. Use Islandmarketing.com. Much more fun for much less cost. Margaritaville is very entertaining, but expensive. Be prepared to be pestered to death to buy trinkets and trash.

Went directly from Port to bamboo beach club where we had the VIP excursion. It was amazing. The beach was beautiful and service was amazing. The food and drinks kept coming and the host were super fun. Only negative was that once you got into the water it was very Rocky and there were sea urchin so you had to be very careful. Another positive was that there were no people trying to sell you jump on the beach so you could just relax in peace.

This has been my second time at this port. The first time was in 2003. We were here January of 2018 and it was great. The weather turned out wonderful. It rained a bit when we first docked but that held off the rest of the day. My 8 year old daughter and I did a horseback riding and beah adventure. It was a 30-45 min trail ride through the wilderness. At the end of that was a short ride through some water back to the starting point. Then the horses sadels were taken off and a floatation belt was put on by us. Then a 10 minute ride in the water along the beach. It was great and the water was perfect!

Dunn's River Falls is simply not to be missed. You have to climb the falls. However, people that are not in good shape or with very small children should NOT attempt. By not in good shape I mean the typical overweight American. We also enjoyed Coyaba Gardens and the Fern Gully. If you get back to the port in time, pay the $3.00 fee and go to the municipal beach next to Island Village Shopping. It's a nice beach and safe with some concessions. Again, the "fabulous duty free" shopping experience is nothing but hype.
