As always Cozumel is great. They are always trying to sell you something in port which is their jobs. If you don't want to be bothered just keep walking. They will be asking the person behind you next. We did the Tabasco's Chef Maestro Cooking & Tasting. This was by far the best Excursions we have done so far in Cozumel. We will probably be doing it again.

Carnival Dream was having engine trouble and skipped this port on us and turned the ship back to New Orleans. We were so dissapointed. We were all up getting ready when the announcement came on over the loud speaker.

Cozumel always seem to be a nice laid back port. We like to rent jeeps and drive around the island and maybe find a nice beach club. Water is beautiful there. However, this time, we met an old friend we hadn't seen in years who happened to be there on holiday the day we docked. There were 7 ships in port that day so it was pretty busy.

We hated how they herd you like cattle through a long building with shops inside. They even had guards at the side doors and would not let you out. At the end was the customs area. This only seemed to be a Carnival thing because the other ships used a different dock and didn't go through this area. We went to Mr. Sancho's. There were plenty of shopping choices at this port. They were all trying to get money out of us though. You just have to say no thank you and move on.

This is one of my favorite ports. If you don't mind the taxi ride, go to the pier Royal Caribbean and Carnival use and checkout Pancho's Backyard. Great food, great margaritas, great view. When you're done, walk out into the open area, find a seat and relax and watch the view.

Not at all safe even in the tourist areas. We kept getting offered drugs and they are unrelenting with trying to get you to buy things and go into their shops. Unless you do an excursion I’d say it isn’t even worth getting off of the ship. It’s beautiful but looks can be deceiving! Our excursion got cancelled and after about a half hour of sightseeing we’d had enough and went back onboard.

Cozumel is really nice port where you can do pretty much everything but what really amazed us is the excursion called Rio Secreto or Amazing Secret River. In order to take that you should be transferred to the main land Playa Del Carmen. It is amazing tour and a MUST in Cozumel

We did the Tulum Ruins back in 2011 and loved it so much went back for my Honeymoon. The views are amazing and would still do it again, and will one day with my child.
