I have been to Cozumel many times I use to work on a cruise ship but that was back in 2002. A lot have changed we took a taxi to the downtown area we just wanted to do some shopping and to get some amazing Mexican food. We did both and just came back to the ship.

This could have been due to our particular event that we scheduled which was all day but we really enjoyed our guide and everything we did was a lot of fun particularly the snorkeling.

Go to Punta Sur at the south end of Cozumel if you want a beautiful beach without crowds.

Fun at Mr Sancho's. Our itinerary was switched and we didn't book thru the cruise line. Mr. Sancho's staff was wonderful and we had a great time

In Cozumel we snorkeled near a reef and later in an underground cave. I would recommend that you be a fairly strong swimmer if you book this particular excursion. We are not great swimmers, but our guide made it his job to make sure we got as much out of the excursion as possible! Seeing marine life in it’s natural habitat is such an incredible experience and we were fortunate to swim side by side with a sea turtle.

We didn't do an excursion but rented a car to find some Mian ruins that we were told would be a fun thing on our own. Road signs and maps were of no help, very confusing and frustrating. Inundated by people flocking to us to visit their stores or market tables. Basically saw two small ruins for 20 minutes. That was enough time to be eaten/bitten by bugs but swarmed more by souvenir merchants. We could not wait to get back to the ship.

Went to Playa Mia beach resort....both is in the square when you get off ship.....fun place on beach....take the unlimited food buffet....!!!

Cozmel is amazingly nice, however, too many Vendors which bothered and made us feel uncomfortable
