No excursion. Walked around port. A typical poor island with nothing to buy

Martinique is another beautiful island to visit and the St. Pierre and Botanic Garden is an excellent tour. The gardens are magnificent and in the middle of the rainforest.

dirty, we don't speak French, and almost everyone there does, didn't have their currency, and it was a Saturday, so all the banks were closed

We did not take an excursion here. There is nothing to do in the pier area. In the future, we would take an excursion or stay on the ship and enjoy.

LEARN FRENCH and bring a conversion book to know Euro/US dollar or whatever currency you use. If you travel outside of the port they will not do this for you and are quite disenchanted with Americans. Also, there are a few 'tops' optional beaches :)

Took a Taxi tour and did some sightseeing. Had never been to this port and it was interesting to get a feel for the island.
