Rude people, no good beach near port, taxis would not try to communicate. Took a ferry over to a beach that was two small coves with $25 pp to rent a chair & umbrella. Ate lunch and it was poor and expensive. Should have stayed on the ship!

Wonderful tour o a great chunk of the island. Easy to find tour guide Thomas and he spent the better part of the day showing us the church just like in France, the waterfall where he shared homemade goodies, the beach where we had beer and snacks, the rum distillery, , a great creek for photos, and the gardens that had a great museum. Ask CaptinRick for better details, but this was a terrific way to spend out first visit to the island. Another tidbit that made this excursion wonderful was that Thomas spoke English, so it was easy to have conversations. Would definitely do this tour again if returning to the island.

Half of a day is just not enough. Arrived at 7am but nothing is open until 9 and when you have to be back on board in a couple hours it does not leave a lot of time. Wished it was a whole day as there was so much more we would of like to of done. We did get to the Library, Church, Craft Market, Fort Louis as well. The tour of the fort is interesting however you don't actually get to see the fort. Just a few levels and a room where they use to keep the ammunition. Views are great but because itis an active installation the tour is limited. Save your time and check out other stuff around the area you won't be disappointed in this island.

Wonderful excursion! Some people took the less expensive tour which was not from Princess which they find as enjoyable because guide/driver only spoke Spanish! They. Also did NOT see as much!
