We enjoyed the cruise. But like so many older ships, the Breeze is in need of upgrades and major repairs. We came home sick as did MANY Other passengers. Several said the mold in the common areas was to blame. Not sure if that is true. But the staff and crew of this ship are some of the very best in the Carnival fleet. They were happy, smiling and courteous, even to passsengers that did not deserve courtesy. We will sail on the Breeze again but hope they do complete some major upgrades before we do so.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
This port has everything very organized and embarkation was easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Some of the food items on the menu in the main dining room were strange to say the least. However, when that happened we ate on Lido. The food there was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The Steakhouse was all right, but not worth the money we spent. As always Guy's Burgers, Pig and Anchor and Cucino del Capitano were wonderful!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We enjoy sitting on the deck or our balcony simply reading and enjoying the beautiful sunshine and warm wether.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows were good. Because of the length of this cruise, special entertainment was brought in and for the most part were very good. Teh Comedy Club was a hit as always. However, the quality of the musicians as a whole was not as good as on previous cruises.
Children's Programs
No children!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was outstanding!!!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
We love the appearance of Lido, however, the aisles are so narrow because of this. The layout is fine.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was spotless. We love the cove balconies. They are quiet and close enough to the water to enjoy seeing the flying fish and dolphins that circle the ship.
Ship tip
Carry a good pair of walking shoes! You will need them!!
Took the water taxi to downtown Phillipsburg and went to NuLove, a great bar and restaurant on the beach. Good food, great price for chairs and drinks.
We wnt to Reggae Beach, a place we have vsited many times. This time, however, it was VERY crowded with too many chairs. The food was overpriced and because of a storm the water was murky.
We bought an island your off the ship for less than half the cost of the one on the ship. The views from the mountains looking at the othe ilands in Virgin Islands were breathtaking!!
Bought a tour off the ship and went to the RainForest. It was good, much less expensive than the same tour on the ship. and were dropped off downtown with plenty of time to enjoy local food and drink before a short walk back to the ship.
