Coral Princess

34 Night Antarctica Cape Horn & Brazilian Grand Adventure (Ft. Lauderdale To Santiago)

Sail date: December 02, 2019

Ship: Coral Princess

Cabin type: Suite

Cabin number: D524

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

The smallest of the Princess line with only 2,000 passengers. Overall we enjoyed both segments of our Antarctica voyage! If Antarctica is on your ‘bucket list’, this is the way to do it; with NO regrets! Enjoy!

Pathetic! Old, archaic, dangerous equipment! Very small room; stuffed with equipment! Very unhygienic with no emphasis on wiping down equipment after usage and only one, poorly located bottle of sanitizer wipes!

Hugh! Large bathroom with a full tub! Extra large bed; comfortable too! Full size couch. Extra large deck! Two large wall mounted TVs. Refrigerator; large desk!

Ship tip

Mid-ship rooms are more stable; especially for rough seas.

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Took water taxi to Nevis, where Alexander Hamilton was born and raised!

Fort-De-France, Martinique

Wonderful excursion! Some people took the less expensive tour which was not from Princess which they find as enjoyable because guide/driver only spoke Spanish! They. Also did NOT see as much!

Salvador De Bahia, Brazil

Good for stretching your legs! Not much to see here! Do NOT exchange money in a bank! Better deal on ‘black’ market! Note: 65 and older ride funicular free!

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

Day 1: Tour to famous beeches; guide took us to ‘black’ market to exchange money! Day 2: Took Tram and subway (65+=free!) and did our own self guided tour throughput historic downtown which we found on internet! WONDERFUL!

Montevideo, Uruguay

Took tour - stuff too spread out to go it by yourself! Plan on lunch at one of the many open fire restaurants immediately in front of Port area. Hugh steaks! Share one; too large for one person!

Buenos Aires, Argentina

5 out of 5
Took tour. Wealthy(north) and poor(south) areas. Visited Eva’s ‘grave’/a must visit!

Disembarkation

Not Applicable, since we were doing the next cruise to Antarctica on same ship!
