Our ship docked at Crown Bay. There were a few shops and market stalls there. Otherwise it’s a pretty industrial area. Taxi stand was chaotic in the morning as two cruise ships emptied out, people yelling, no organization at all. We took a taxi but it only took us as far as downtown, yet I had asked about going to Haverside to check out the Skyride. We ended up walking the other half to Haverside which wasn’t too far. Skyride was fun and absolute stunning views from the top. We decided to try the food and beverage at their restaurant. We ordered and then waited 45 min for it to arrive. Our waitress “forgot” to order the food, then they ordered it (a manager) but then no one knew who it was for and it never got served. Overall horrible service and honestly some of the crappiest food to boot. Take the Skyride, enjoy the view, just do not eat there! Overall Charlotte Amelie was not very scenic. Lots of crazy traffic and noise in the downtown area.

Due to Hurricane damage in October 2017, this port is still recovering. Thank goodness we went to Safire Beach to snorkel, as it broke up the day and we got to see some of the Island on the journey to and from the beach. I was very disappointed though on how dirty the island is, which has little to due with storm damage. If tourism is your livelihood, more should be done to keep your island clean. No reason to ever visit again.

We love St. Thomas. This time we did parasailing for the first time, and it was fantastic. Afterward, we walked about 10 minutes from the pier to the Paradise Point Skyride, which I would recommend doing once as it is $21 pp roundtrip, but the view at the top is spectacular. We grabbed some good bites at Taste up at the top but $67 with tip for three (flat) dacquiris, one quesadilla and order of nachos was a bit pricey.

Has always been a favorite port. It has become a bit crowded over the years. Shows some damage from hurricane. Went to Megan's Bay beach, still a fine beach, although Taxi fares have gone up significantly since our last visit.
