Review summary

The only thing I can say that spoiled this cruise somewhat was Carnival's policy on bringing alcohol on the ship. It was not allowed. They did have a ridiculously expensive alcohol plan for $300 for the entire cruise! I thought it was ok until I learned that there was a limit of drinks per day! Then I learned that they would add a cool $100 to my bill for tips which made that alcohol plan $400!! I thought that was overpriced and a rip-off and I did not appreciate that. Instead I bared being on the ship and drank when I got off the ship, I did drink some on the ship but limited myself to $20/day. I felt like that policy prevented me from enjoying the cruise behond excellent!

Food and Dining

It was excellent. Bur I was not allowed to enter the dining room because as a man I had on a sleeveless shirt, yet my girlfriend was half-naked and they had no problem with her attire!

Ship tip

Carnival has alcohol notzi's! They made it very difficult to bring alcohol on the shit, they should at least allow a bottle per couple! and the $400 per person for the NOT-all you can drink was ridiculous! That policy needs to be changed.

I plan to order a bottle of $80 vodka for our room and make our own big ass drinks!

Cruise lines only break even on the price of the cruise. They make their money on the sale of liquor. If they allowed passengers to bring unlimited amounts of liquor on board, they would soon have to raise their rates to the point where most of us could not afford to cruise. I say, if you are unwilling to pay the price of liquor on board, either don't drink, or don't cruise.

If you could get it only on sea days, I'd do it for sure!

It's called the cheers program. It is 49.95 a day plus gratuity. Yes gratuity is added in just like if you buy 1 drink from the bar.The limit is 15 alcoholic drinks a day and unlimited soda, juice and smoothies. With drinks being around 8 dollars on average it doesn't take that many to make it worth the money. You do have to buy it for every person in the cabin 21+ because of people trying to share one package.

Each adult is allowed to bring one bottle of wine in their carry on bag at the beginning of the cruise. Other than that, there are ways around it...I've heard that the drink plan is expensive, and every adult in the cabin has to buy it. But you get like 10-12 drinks per day, with unlimited sodas. I am not a big drinker, but that's a lot.
