Loved Catalina Island — it was a beautiful beach day and I look forward to returning 🏖💛🏖. We were there on a NCL cruise and I have to say that it was an incredible stop.

Stay on the ship. This is an uninhabited island and the ship docks right off shore of this island. You take a tender boat to the beach and that is where you stay. We were afraid to get in the water due to warnings of jellyfish.

Great fun at the private beach. Costa set up a nice lunch buffet (free). Beautiful warm water with an awesome view of the ship anchored in the bay.

Nice beach, but not a lot to do besides snorkling. No food or drinks were available, only water.

A beautiful beach, but nowhere else to go. You're stuck on the beach, because it's a militarized zone. Also, the snorkling is of no interest at all because there are no coral reefs and hardly any fish. The buffet was good, but beware of mosquitoes while waiting in line. We WERE the buffet !!!
