Lighthouse excursion cancelled. Tendered into Bar Harbor. Quaint old school town. Reminded me of our Alaskan cruise. Enjoyed walking this port the most of all the ports we stopped at.

Bar Harbor has a small town feel that is geared to the tourist trade. Shuttled in, the shuttle is hard on the elderly and handicapped, other than that we got in and out ok. We're in town before most stores opened. At dinner time we were directed to the West Street Cafe. It is worth your time.

We did the Acadia National Park & Lobster Bake - this tour was excellent too driving through the park and seeing the countries beauty, the only downside was you are limited to the amount of time that a tour bus can stop in the park. The lobster was awesome and the little town of Bar Harbor was fun to tour

A bummer. Had booked a tour, but after getting on board were notified that must be able to handle 13 steep stairs, then take a tender and a pier where much of it was up a steep incline to get into the town. So my wife couldn't go ashore and we had to cancel the excursion. Fortunate we did since there was a sudden change in the weather, got fogged in, and tours delayed and had difficulty getting tenders back to the ship. I went ashore, nice little town with numerous shops to attract tourists.
