The Celebrity Summit is a 20-YEAR old ship. Just 4-months earlier, we were on a 2-MONTH old ship...Celebrity Edge. We took the Summit cruise for 3 reasons: 3 hour drive, no flying (like for The Edge), 10 days instead of normal 7, great price from . We definitely enjoyed our cruise. No regrets at all. It's just that we were spoiled by The Edge, which is quite a bit larger and offers a more memorable experienced (food, shopping, layout, etc.)

Food and Dining

We didn't eat at specialty restaurants since they didn't seem "especially special." Steak and Italian were certainly an upgrade from main dining, but not worth the fee. To us, "specialty" is something that you'll never find elsewhere (like Le Petite Chef on the Celebrity Edge...a must!)

Joined the Spa but asked for, and received, a refund when I discovered the (free!) Solarium. The Men's Room has its own (free!) Sauna and showers which make up 50% of the Spa. The Solarium also has massage tubes that were great.

We booked 9143 (Inside) which is directly under the kitchen. On the first night, we were woken at 4AM with "clanging." We reported it, a supervisor came to the room, heard it and we were transferred to an Ocean view. It was always well maintained.
Ship tip
Don't lock in either dinner seating. Take optional seating. Shorter lines, PLUS we saw the 1st entertainment at 7PM and were able to go back again for the 9PM show. Entertainment was that good.
in the "Ship Tip" box ,you mentioned, not to lock in dining seating ,where did you have dinner and what time did you start dinner ? And does the Entertainment start at 7:00 pm ?
