Loved this stop. My wife and I didn't take any tour, but took the ship tender to the dock at foot of the town. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk (though up a slight hill) from the tendering dock. I had a lobster roll at a restaurant just up a few shops from the dock. I would recommend going to the lobster pound and getting a whole lobster. The lobster pound is visible from streetside of the dock and a short stroll away. There are a wide variety of shops to explore and prices are reasonable.

This was my favorite port of the trip. The town looked so cute. I wish it wasn’t cold and raining so I couldn’t have explored. We took a bus trip through Acadia National Park and even in the rain it was gorgeous!

Was in Bar Harbor yesterday, had a wonderful day. They tender you in but don’t get discouraged as they have very nice and large tender boats that the use. Even if you are handicapped it’s very easy.

Great stop. Small town that is easy to walk around. We did the Schooner sail here. That was fun but it was cold that day so we froze a little out on the water. Still glad we did it. Check out Bar Harbor Pop Corn. Interesting flavors and free samples of all of them. Would have liked to walk across the sand bar to Bar Island at low tide but the timing was wrong.

Great activities just walking from the port. Ate lobster at Route 66. Great food. Fun shopping right near the port. I got lobster earrings at a lovely jewelry store and we bought Bar Harbor shirts at a store along the Maine street.

Our favorite excursion. Did the Intimate tour of Acadia National Park on a 14 passenger bus, sunny skies, colorful leaves. Finished with a lobster roll, a piece of blueberry pie with blueberry ice cream on the wharf. More time for shopping would have topped off the day.
