Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda Port Reviews

The Royal Nav Dockyard has interesting buildings and shops including the Rum Cake and Glassworks. We did the Trail Bike Hike and Beach excursion in Somerset and which was fun. The bike trail and hike were the highlight while the beach was a half hour rest before getting back to the ship. The other excursion was the Horseshoe Bay Beach Transfer which was very easy to see this beautiful beach on our last day in Bermuda. We also took a ferry to Hamilton on our own to explore and took a bus to the Crystal Caves, a must see. Bermudian people were friendly and helpful too!

This is our happy place and where we can live our best life. This is our second time to Bermuda and we were able to see things that we didn’t the first time. We went golfing and to Tobacco bay. Save you money on snorkeling excisions and spend the day at Tobacco Bay and rent a mask.

Bermuda was so beautiful and the people were very friendly and helpful. We received great advice from the visitor's center and also from the staff at the Princess Hotel in Hamilton. The Princess staff helped us to find a quiet beach with a beautiful little cove. They also arranged an excellent British Afternoon Tea for us even though we did not have a reservation! They were very accommodating even though we weren't even guests in their hotel. The beach was not a typical tourist spot, but it was beautiful! For about $45, all six of us took a taxi ride out to Warwick Long Bay. The driver gave us his card and we were able to text him to pick us up again when we were done. So easy and relaxed! And he also had great tips on places to eat when we return some day.

I fell in love with Bermuda. I decided to just see 2 beaches, 2 pubs/ restaurants, a ferry ride and then the third day just enjoy walking close to the ship. I went to Sommerset and Elbow Beach, both of which aren’t super popular and it was such a great choice for me. It was quiet and peaceful and serene... everything I could’ve wanted. I only saw locals and I loved that as well. I wanted to try and experience Bermuda as a local and I felt like these choices allowed me to do so. I can’t wait to go back and see more.

Cute shops, museum, dolphin quest, (swim with dolphins excursion) snorkel beach and little on the water waterslide playground all in walking distance. There were mini busses and taxis waiting right outside the ship to take you wherever you want CHEAP. EVERYONE was smiling, welcoming, helpful and over the top friendly.

We love Bermuda and the area around the dockyard is very nice. We took a mini-bus tour that was very comprehensive but there was not enough off-bus time to explore. Snorkel Park in the dockyard was great - I saw an octopus underwater for the first time in 8 times snorkeling!

Bermuda is awesome! The most beautiful beaches in the world, and unbelievable scuba diving, and not a third-world Caribbean crap hole; you can scooter around the island and not have to worry about being robbed and killed - Bermuda is a very nice place!!!!
