A: i concur about the Frog 🐸 and Onion 🌰 in the Dockyard. It's easy to get to and has some good though pricey brew. I'll be going there again myself when I dock there Labor Day weekend.

A: Most roofs in Bermuda are used to collect rain water for the building's cistern, there little to no potable ground water. Best you can hope for are pubs on the second or 3rd story with a large veranda overlooking the Great Sound. Flanagan's on Front... St. in Hamilton is what immediately comes to mind.See More

A: @ russpittfan, no rooftop, but I have 2 good suggestions & pictures posted. At the Naval Dockyard, The Frog & Onion, good food, drinks, vibe & live music. Just a 5-minute walk from your ship. In Hamilton, try The Docksider. Also, has good food, v... ibes & drinks, live music. Great hosting staff. Take the ferry from The Naval Dockyard to Hamilton, $5 pp. Ferry leaves on the hour. Walk to visitor center, get your tokens & you’ll also get a map. Try 1 or all!! Have a blast & happy cruising 😎⚓️🤩❣️‼️See More

Go to the singing glass beach by taking the # 7 or 8 bus from the dockyard, ask the driver where to get off it's near a cemetary on private property but the owner allows respectful visitors. You can then get ba... ck on either to check out Somerset Bridge, tge workds smallest drawbridge, by walking across it to the next bus stop on the way to HBB.See More

A: Safest port I've ever been to. Bermudians are friendly and helpful too. Once had a gentleman pull over on his scooter because we were on the side of the road on our scooters trying to map out where to go. The gentleman led us to our destination on hi... s own scooter with us following. So friendly and helpful! We been back to Bermuda about 6 or 7 times!See More

Answered by Keira2 on April 14, 2024

A: Short answer, you don't have to buy an excursion if you don't want to. Longer answer: you'll walk off the ship directly into the Dockyards, and there are shops and restaurants (and the Clocktower Mall) all within walking distance(as well as a free tr... olley that drives all around). There's a bus stop and many taxis lined up(many drivers also offer private tours as well), and the ferry is available to take you to Hamilton or St George(you can buy tokens or day passes at the Visitor's Center across from the ferry landing). Since the U.S. and Bermuda dollar are 1:1, you don't need to exchange money.See More

Answered by mellyses on April 14, 2024

A: There isn’t a ton to do here, some shops, a museum and a couple of other activities. However you can catch a ferry from there that goes to Hamilton where there is a lot more shopping, restaurants and bars. You can definitely find enough without an ex... cursion if you want. There are also some good excursions. Personally I enjoyed the Crystal Caves.See More

Answered by Jerrec on September 27, 2023

A: Ok, thank you. But generally you feel safe to take that ferry and walk about on your own though?

Answered by Bdonkey13 on September 27, 2023

A: It's one of the safest from crime nations to visit, but it does have a high chance of car vs. scooter accidents. It is also 1 of the best organized ports w/ shops, attractions, information kiosks, taxi/shuttle stands, & public transport ticket huts a... few minutes walk from the ship's gangway. Very easy to buy "on the dock" tours, but the island is expensive compared to ports in the south.See More

A: Winter boots might not be needed but end of April, beginning of May is not really beach weather. If booking any excursions on boats take a windbreaker or hoodie. If thinking of going in the water a drysuit is advisable. Sunbathing will depend on your... personal tolerance because the wind can still have a bite to it. Weather is more suited for hiking and biking.See More
