Define your walking distance ability. The nearest free public beach is Somerset Long Bay Beach which is 4 miles away or about a 60-80 minute walk. An at fee private beach is right in The Royal Naval Dockyard, but it's not as good as the public beaches along South Road. accessed by the public bus system or private shuttles from the port.

snorkel park Beach is very nice. it's not free but very inexpensive. if you want to rent a beach chair you pay a bit more. I'm pretty sure they have a bar there too

Admission rates went up to $15 per person that’s just for entry if you want a beach lounger or an umbrella you’re going to pay dearly however the convenience of it being right next to the dock yard is nice, we usually prefer to jump on the mini bus and go down to horseshoe Bay beach

Walking distance, yes. snorkel park. When we went in 2018, it was $5 to enter but certainly worth it
