Safest port I've ever been to. Bermudians are friendly and helpful too. Once had a gentleman pull over on his scooter because we were on the side of the road on our scooters trying to map out where to go. The gentleman led us to our destination on his own scooter with us following. So friendly and helpful! We been back to Bermuda about 6 or 7 times!

There isn’t a ton to do here, some shops, a museum and a couple of other activities. However you can catch a ferry from there that goes to Hamilton where there is a lot more shopping, restaurants and bars. You can definitely find enough without an excursion if you want. There are also some good excursions. Personally I enjoyed the Crystal Caves.

Short answer, you don't have to buy an excursion if you don't want to. Longer answer: you'll walk off the ship directly into the Dockyards, and there are shops and restaurants (and the Clocktower Mall) all within walking distance(as well as a free trolley that drives all around). There's a bus stop and many taxis lined up(many drivers also offer private tours as well), and the ferry is available to take you to Hamilton or St George(you can buy tokens or day passes at the Visitor's Center across from the ferry landing). Since the U.S. and Bermuda dollar are 1:1, you don't need to exchange money.

It's one of the safest from crime nations to visit, but it does have a high chance of car vs. scooter accidents. It is also 1 of the best organized ports w/ shops, attractions, information kiosks, taxi/shuttle stands, & public transport ticket huts a few minutes walk from the ship's gangway. Very easy to buy "on the dock" tours, but the island is expensive compared to ports in the south.

Definitely safe. I was there in May and walked around by myself after sunset for a midnight sail. Unlike San Juan, retail stores will close early, so take that into consideration.

Very safe. Some good restaurants/bars/shopping right there. Beach, etc can be tricky to find but short walk from the boat

Bermuda is quite safe. You should be fine walking around in the evening and then I wouldn’t go walking around at 3 AM but early evening into evening should be quite all right so as long as you stay in populated areas, I would think.

Ok, thank you. But generally you feel safe to take that ferry and walk about on your own though?
