Clean and safe place for walking. But beware, everything (except for some touristy shops) close at 4:30.... And the ferry to Hamiltons last run is also at 4:30. Buses are slow and far in between. So if you miss the ferry its a 100$ cab ride back. Also, public beach services, like chairs and umbrellas etc, close by five. So plan accordingly if you are looking for that sunset walk, make sure you have transportation pre arranged.

Bermuda is such a gorgeous place!! It’s very safe and easy to explore on your own. This was our 3rd time there so we took the ferry to Hamilton to do some shopping. The prices here are MUCH cheaper than you’ll find in the Dockyard and selection is better too. We then took a cab to Horseshoe beach, which is stunning. We played in the pink sand for a bit, took a ton of pictures and then grabbed a $7pp bus shuttle back to the ship. Just a nice, relaxing day on a beautiful island 😌

Simple small port which was very well handled. Provided shuttle service to port shopping and good direction to any destination. People are friendly and helpful. Always friendly, jovial and helpful. PS - Tourism is only 8% of their GDP. Even then the local personals took extra interest. Hello NJ Port authorities, please learn a thing or 2 from these people.

Love, love, love Bermuda... the people, the beaches, everything about it! We did not do an excursion but traveled by mini-bus to the beaches and by ferry to Hamilton. You don’t need to book excursions here but can do you own thing to get to where you want to go. Mini-buses are the best at $7.00 per trip to the area beaches... they bring you right to the beach and are available to take you back to the dock. Highly recommend using them.

Two night before our cruise we received word that our scheduled cruise to King’s Wharf, Bermuda was canceled and the ship was being rerouted due to the hurricane. We were rerouted to Portland, Maine and Halifax, Nova Scotia. We had an amazing time in each port. It was beautiful and very relaxing, I just wish we had more time in each place.

One of the best ports we've been too. I am now completely in love with Bermuda and can't wait to go back. The ship docks right in the Royal Navy Dockyards which is great because instead of the usual prefab cruise ship only complex, it is an actually complex of historic 19th century limestone buildings which have mostly been restored. Without even leaving the area where you dock, there is the National Museum of Bermuda, The Bermuda Transport Museum, a mall that is actually full of local shops instead of chains, a pub, a bar with kid-friendly swimming pool, an inexpensive public beach with snorkeling, a glass blower, a drug store (often a life saver when traveling) and a bunch of other things. From there you can also get an inexpensive transport pass that will let you take the buses and ferries all over the island and it is super-easy to navigate the system. We went to the Zoo/Aquarium/Natural History Museum, which is tiny, but fascinating, and sits right in the seaside. Food and drink are as expensive as I have ever seen, so eat (and drink) back on the ship.
