Review summary

This is perfect Cruise for people living locally or in large metro areas. People from south of NJ should focus more on Miami or Charleston port departure cruise-lines as they are better bang for bucks and convenient. Diversity on these ships is not much. Age diversity is not much either. This is perfect cruise for folks with no kids tagging along. ideal for 40 and above age.

Children's Programs

Please do your kids a favor and plan something else for them at some other place. This is NOT a ship for kids. There are many options in other Cruiselines.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All personnel were great. Excellent room stewards, Waiters are dine in restaurants. The buffet area, many waiters/cleaning personnel appeared not too happy to be there, but did their job. overworked.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
As many have complained, the ship is showing the age and is scheduled for upgrade next year. However, there is a lot of neglect and jerry rigging all over which is absolutely not ok. Celebrity went cheap on upkeep and maintenance of this ship, This is not merely age and being outdated. Towels and Sheets often were worn out and had rips in them. Glass walls and screens need good cleaning, there was not much rain encountered. Staff tries so hard to keep everyone happy, but they do need corporate support and help.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
A lil too tight and configuration for 3 or 4 people. ideal for 2 and would be perfect. Best to stay 2 per room. NCL and other cruise-lines accomdate 4 very well. Maybe the new upgrades would incorporate different configurations. No power outlet in Bathroom !! Only one location in whole living space to plug-in anything. Closet/storage space configuration is inefficient. However, in some rooms which have been upgraded, it has bee fixed with better storage and shelving. TV service is limited, but ok for ship on the ocean.

Ship tip

Make sure you make you dine-in resrvations ahead of time. Get drinks, photo and wifi packes on the ship. If you get plan to Photo package, which I recomment you get, then get all photo opporturnities you can who are everywhere. Good photographers and pictures. Wifi is ok and like a basic DSL internet speed. less than 1mbps.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

Pardon my language - Local Shipyard Personnel suck. The setup sucks. Compared to Miami port, this is outdated, both looks and service, its like going back to 1980s. Security personals helping customers get in security line is so so Ghetto(Pardon my French). Celebrity Cruise did snooze on this aspect. They do have control on port staff quality and service as its their port of service and they pay. Its not like TSA who dont care. Please FIX this.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Simple small port which was very well handled. Provided shuttle service to port shopping and good direction to any destination. People are friendly and helpful. Always friendly, jovial and helpful. PS - Tourism is only 8% of their GDP. Even then the local personals took extra interest. Hello NJ Port authorities, please learn a thing or 2 from these people.
