Review summary
Excellent dining and bar service, excellent food, and a very average ship. The ship seems very out-dated which we were disappointed in considering that celebrity is supposed to be a step up from Royal Caribbean or Carnival. While the dining service was great, the general service left a bit to be desired. It was our honeymoon, which we had mentioned to the cruise line, however nothing was really done to make it feel like they wanted to make it special. We got a mini cake only after stating we were disappointed that we hadn't had anything special happen, when we were told over the phone it would be a special evening. There were lots of things to do, but a decent number of them for "premium" members only, making us feel pretty left out. I found out after our trip that the sip is being re-done. This is long overdue as the Summit was really showing it's age. One of our drawers was broken in our state room and the beach towels were extremely worn (one even had a hole in it). I've been on many cruises, but this was my first with Celebrity. I wouldn't say celebrity really distinguished themselves from the pack or made a great impression.Embarkation
