We went whale watching out of Juneau. We saw lots of whales and even watched them bubble net to feed.

We went dog sledding and loved it! Fantastic crew and a once in a lifetime experience. Dress warmly and have fun! They let you hold and pet the newborn puppies too. This was our favorite excursion of the entire trip!

Nice little town. Ship was docked right in the middle of town. Town itself is mostly shops and restaurants, but taking a tramway up to Roberts Point is, in my opinion, a must. You'll be treated to spectacular Alaska view. The store there has one of the best Alaska craft gallery: prices are up there, but quality is top-notch. I also did an excursion to see Alaska Huskies Summer Camp: very nice relaxing outing where you can see wonderful dogs and puppies, and learn about Alaska sleigh racing.

Whale watching, Mendenhall Glacier and salmon luncheon excursion was great. We saw several humpback whales as well as a pod of orcas. The orcas came up very close to our boat. So exciting to see them in the wild. We also saw black bears close to the glacier. Only downside to this excursion was it took our entire time in port, so no time to shop—something I was hoping to do. We did pop into the Red Dog Saloon for a quick drink prior to excursion.

Port was perfect. We did the Tram excursion ...the ride up and down was great...really good for photo taking...there was so much to do once you arrived at the top...great gift shops and coffee shop...live totem pole carving and lots of hiking if you want to..not difficult at all. Juneau was also picture perfect.

Small and friendly, Great food at the Twisted Fish. We just walked around and also took the Tram up the mountain and had some of the best blueberry pie.

The port of Juneau has seen some significant upgrades since 2016 when we last visited. The Norwegian Bliss has the furthest berth and it's quite a hike to walk there from the downtown shopping area. Luckily for us, we had just eaten a ton of crab at Tracy's crab shack so the walk was welcomed. There is a shuttle bus that will take passengers if you're unable to walk or super pressed for time. As far as our excursion, we did the "Whale Tails & Rain forest Trails" and we had an amazing time. Getting off the ship was very fast but waiting in the tour bus area was a bit chaotic. Pay attention to the signs.
