This port was lovely...but once again the Captin was late! Which makes all your excursions late and cut short. However our excursion was really nice and we loved the people running the excursion.

Juneau is so much like the wild west and so much history. I was told once on one of the tours - Juneau might be the State Capital of Alaska but one year a Grizzly Bear broke into the Governor's Mansion and there is a statute of a Florida Pelican outside the State Government building (Sarah Palin?)

Take a trip to mendenhall glacier! We did the whale watching and glacier photo safari and it was great but raining hard the entire time so it was difficult to use my dslr camera for fear of getting it too wet

Mechanical issues caused a delay in departure from Ketchikan so we missed the Juneau experience.

Most things to do. Wish we had more time in this port. Had a great salmon bake experience!

Beautiful, however, very commercial. If you like jewelry you will like Juneau. Consider booking an excursion. You still have time for shopping.

One main road that does not go around island and one bridge. Cute and quaint.

Take an excursion to see the Mendenhall glacier. Juneau was just another small city, but the surrounding area was nice.

Good looking city; larger, and there are more shopping places than Sitka and Ketchikan; September is end of tour season, so lots of things are on sale, and some are pretty good deals. I did an excursion, mainly walking a trail leading to the Mendenhall Glacier and Lake, Nugget Fall, and the Visitor Center. Saw one bald eagle. Weather was a little wet, but very pleasant experience on the whole.
