Wow! Now this is where it gets interesting. It was like floating on Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies because of the incredibly blue glacier water. The glacier was a site to behold and was by far the highlight of the cruise. And the weather was clear, sunny and beautiful. An amazing experience and worth the price of the cruise.

It was a chilly, misty day, which made the cries of the gulls wheeling in the air at Margerie Glacier all the more haunting. No wonder Glacier Bay is a World Heritage site: a quiet, ancient beauty lives here, and speaks to those who can be still long enough to hear with inward ears.

I’ve never seen scenery like these glaciers. The Majorie glacier kindly cave several times for us. We saw seals (babies too). We were blessed with exquisite weather. Sunny and bright. We were cool from icy glaciers but my granddaughter swam during this part of the cruise. Wonderful experience.

This was the highlight of the trip for me. They had a park rangers come aboard and lecture, look for wildlife and answer questions. The views were spectacular, the wildlife abundant and total wilderness as far as the eye could see. It was incredible!!!
