great price for a B2b

i was already onboard, saw prices had dropped for me to turn it into a b2b, so i was very happy with price. My cabin was dirty, carpet was an issue and my cabin steward Simonete service was 50% of what my former steward Adonis was , she only showed up between hours of 2pm-7pm and i tipped her 20.00 in advance on 1st day with request of fresh ice 2x a day..

Oversold and understaffed worst cruise I've ever been on

My first complaint is the fact that I had to fly out after a hurricane hit North Florida soon as I knew my flight was going to be delayed at 9 AM I contacted Norwegian to let them know because I had prepaid for airport pick up

airport pick up never communicated with me did not pick me up after 10 minutes ovof trying to get them on the phone I hailed a   cab paid $37 to get to the cruise ship on time as it was I was the last person to board at exactly 6:21 PM.

I had booked a balcony cabin to share with a friend of mine who had already arrived before I did she had put her things away and I was to meet her for dinner I found my cabin steward as soon as I reached my cabin to let him know who I was and that I had just arrived on board.

as I was freshening up before dinner I heard a loud banging outside my cabin I opened the door to see what it was only to be greeted by a maintenance man vacuuming out the air-conditioner in which I am mediately began to cough .

at that point I realized the AC was not working accurately in my cabin or in the hallway and I went to guest services to complain as my throat was already beginning to have that all-too-familiar scratch when I am faced with pollutants and allergens I was told that they had a capacity of 5000 people on this trip and there were no extra rooms for me to switch with.

I reminded my cabin steward as well as guest services three times that I missed the safety boat drill and I have no idea where my life boat is located

i also complained to guest services three different times that they needed to refund me for my transfer since I was not picked up at airport and every time it took them 10 to 15 minutes to verify that I had pre-paid before hand

I also suffered full-blown sinus infection in  which I had to seek medical treatment as soon as I returned home this ship was so crowded there is no room in The very small pool I mostly stayed in the H2O area in which I witnessed many children present openly sitting out in the sun with their parents as well as in the waterfall area also known as the grotto.

I did not see many staff members in areas around the pool H2O or other outside deck venues there is no night club lounge area inside for adults only

Not many adult only areas and this by far was the worst trip I've ever taken on Norwegian not only do I believe I have suffered an illness due to their lackof healthy maintenance on the Air conditioning  systembut the failure to give me a lifeboat drill or that of the other two passengers who boarded when we reached our first port of Saint Thomas even after I brought it to the attention of guest services as well as my cabin steward Is very alarming

I  did make mention of this to the hotel staff captain as I was exiting the ship and that was after I had complained repeatedly to guest services

Norwegian Jade

March 2016 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Houston Roundtrip) Cruise on Norwegian Jade

Average

The Port in Houston is very unorganized, The ship is very clean, and staff very efficient, my Cabin 11088 was a very roomy mini suite with a nice sized Balcony, conveniently located.

My cabin Steward Louis was on top of his duties daily and i had no complaints.

The Cruise director and entertainment  were my least favorite, Not as professional orTalented as the  entertaining as my past cruise on The Spirit 2 months ago, The comedian was not funny, the mentalist was average, and his ego was bigger than his talent , i am use to better las vegas style shows on past cruises, on my last 5 cruises.

I did not spend time at pool as it was spring break and way too many small children since 2 pools close together and not a kids only area meant kids in both pools and hot tubs, a lot of un escorted minors drinking alcohol as well,

The spa is wonderful , and the thermal lounge was worth the upgrade.

Upscale dining was very good the 5 night package was my preference, i did not like Moderno, loved Cagneys and Le Bistro.

I enjoyed the additional Chef's Table  private dinner and the Chef was by far the most Entertaining personality on the whole ship, he is a very Talented ,Naturally Comedic man,

The Port of Cozumel, by far my favorite, Belize City is dirty and disappointing if you are not taking an excursion, no natural beaches...

The port of Roatan is a nightmare , being yelled at from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave by people who make their living 1 day a week by hawking services and sometimes cheating tourists who do not pay attention to the conversion rate.

The 2 days at Sea are very disappointing, the ship sped very fast out of Roatan upon departure only to find us only 178 nautical miles from Houston on day 2 at sea, which led to the ship slowing down to a crawl for most of the morning, then sped up again that put us right in the middle of a low cloud bank and overcast skies, this forced people back  inside to eat, drink and buy more wi fi minutes, as the Entertainment was lagging and not many guests attended ,game shows or activities at all...we were in port by 11:30 pm that night as i watched from my balcony...disembarkation was a total nightmare and the staff in port as well as customs , move at a whole different pace..many people i spoke to only spent 350 for their cruise the last week before the sail date, unfortunately many of those people were located near my cabin and they chose to enjoy the alcohol upgrade instead of food and my deck was very noisy 24/7

Norwegian Spirit

January 2016 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

we are the world

this was my 4th cruise and 1 st on Norwegian, this ships staff and entertainment was above what i expected based on my earlier experiences on other lines.

I found the food in the free dining options to be accommodating to everyone and many options all over the ship.

I enjoyed meals at Le Bistro as well as Cagneys for my meal upgrades and both were outstanding. The ship s very clean and the different activities are so plentiful for all ages.

I had a balcony cabin that was large enough for me but my Cabin steward dropped the ball, i did not meet him until day 4, by that time i had had to call for items that should have been provided, pool towels, coffee mugs, a room service menu ,his name card... on the last day i did see him in the hall and i said my friend in another cabin i was traveling with took pics every night of her cute towel animals yet i had a larger room was also alone and yet only had 2 nights of funny towels, although i did not stay out late and was back in my cabin many nights after the 10: 30 show, on the last night i was greeted with 3 so if you did bring it to his attention he did his best,

I have to say the entertainment was fantastic , and the Cruise director and his staff very nice. I met people on the staff as well as other guests from all over the world and only have 1 complaint, 2 passengers were on the free drinks card and on a few occasions were very aggressive and i did have 1 encounter that made me uncomfortable but when i brought it to the attention of the staff and they investigated i never had another problem with that passenger.

i wish the dj would have different music the few nights i stayed at galaxy after the show to dance it was the same music, as well as a couple of times i listened to the house bands.

The adult scavenger hunt is very adult oriented and i did feel uncomfortable that 2 of the young teens i met with the families were out unescorted and saw a woman expose herself, but thats a mom thing , and its just my personal opinion.

i met people of different countries, different states, different political and religious beliefs and i though a large group of us really bonded and our last morning together many tears were shed.
