Just passed through. Seemed quite congested
did not see much of the city although the dancing exhibition was excellent.
Beautiful place and the lobster/champagne catamaran excursion was definitely a highlight of the cruise.
The little town was very quaint and the walk on the beach beautiful. Easy to guide oneself around the town and the area so can understand why no excursions was offered.
Extremely interesting and beautiful. The onboard lectures helped considerably in preparing one for what to expect.
After being in other more exotic ports, I only felt the island was just OK. The train ride was interesting but not particularly memorable.
Fun place and very interesting to do the self directed tour.
Hired a tour on the dock and had a wonderful experience seeing the beautiful island.
Walked around the part of the city outside the terminal for a while in the morning. Impressed by the cleanliness and maintenance of the streets and buildings for being so deep into Brazil. Excursion was good and the opera house was extremely impressive. Zoo was so so.
Huge industrial port as advertised. Tour to the countryside was good and sightseeing was quite interesting. EXTREMELY hot.
The port seemed OK but really did not see as was on a great excursion (1/2 boat, 1/2 bus). The only part of the excursion that was bad was returning to the port on the bus with a 1 hour ride in the dark on a very windy, narrow road.
Very picturesque but quite expensive for shopping. Took a quick bus excursion.
Was just OK. Sight seeing excursion was good but this particular island was not a highlight of the trip.
Probably would have been OK but visited St. Kitts instead because of hurricane damage in PR.

Be prepared for a smaller ship experience. At one point when the stabilizers were pulled in due to shallow seas, it was very difficult to stand, let alone walk. Even with the stabilizers deployed, the ride was rough.
