When you get onboard do you hit the food first or get a drink (of any kind)?
For me, I usually get a mixed drink first, I just can not accept the reality of being on a cruise until I have that first mixed drink after we get through security and onboard!

Usually we head up to the buffet or the MDR depending on the ship. On the Oasis or the Allure, we head over to the pizza place, first. If I start drinking too early, i get sleepy.
Drink
We head to the buffet and I grab a beer to enjoy with lunch while my wife has one of the waitresses bring her a mixed drink while we eat
We drop off our carry ons and then head for lunch - usually the deli for a grilled Ruben sandwich or the buffet.
Depends on the cruise line, if it is Celebrity and I'm handed a glass of champagne as soon as I get on, then it is a drink, If other lines, I go for lunch.
Interesting – never thought about this before. When we board, drinks first (non-alcoholic) but we’re making our own fresh-brewed iced tea in the buffet, so it’s followed immediately by food. Alcoholic drinks usually start after the muster drill.
On subsequent days, especially days at sea, the alcoholic drinks start much earlier – sometimes with breakfast!

I used to get drinks first but it depends if I had breakfast or not. My last cruise I did have breakfast than I had a Guys burger on board. Then the drinking starts.
I'll mug the waiter with a tray first, then make my way to the bar. After that, I go to the buffet.
I'm behind you all the way.
