Trying New Things on a Cruise

I am not normally a "spa" person but I was given membership to the Lotus Spa Enclave on the Royal and fell in love with the experience, frequenting it several times a day. Have never shown interest on previous cruises and will probably not become a spa person when home BUT loved the new experience.

What have you tried "new" on a cruise that you enjoyed?

Were it not for the carpet, I would seriously have to ask if that was actually on Carnival!Big Smile

I think this would very entertaining to watch on sea days! Big Smile

Terri - I am trying my best to relax more on our cruises now, my wife is all for that! I am finally understading that "yea, i will be coming back" and not have to do everything this cruise

This past cruise, DW and I made a deal to try different food items on board, different venues and things to do in general.

Some of the tthings we tried for the first time and will try again - oysters rockefeller, flaming tomato soup, baked onion soup, playlist productions, blackjack in the casino, different style slot machines, milkshakes from joe's cafe.

In the caymans we tried the poutine, buffalo wings, the ampbious bus excursion.

In Jamaica we did the top 10 tour, took use to try jerk chicken and pork, cocoa seeds, saw where allspice, nutmeg and other spices come from. That the aluminum ore comes from Jamaica along with molasses and brown sugar.

i understand that you may think, uh yea have just been to those ports one time, BUT we going back to the Caymans, Jamacia and Cozumel in May, we will do different excursions most definitely. Key West is my favorite port so far, but we do different things when we are there too. Next time we go there, we will redo the hop on/off train, but will be getting off at different places.

Morning for me its actually "TRYING" to relax , sounds boring but something I don't get to do at home.

I enjoy the " For Men Only" spa deals on Princess.

only on cruises though, not to many day spas here offer that.

Also the wine pairings and tasting...it's become a bit of a hobby now because of the cruises.

Cave tubing Big Smile

Also chilled fruit soups
