Talking about the next cruise BEFORE the first cruise

So over the weekend I was talking to DH about our cruise and looking at doing another one next year to a different island. He was actually open to talking about getting with some of our married friends and doing a cruise next year. Big Smile

I like that he is open to cruising.. we can go so many places!!! Now lets hope our cruise this week wows him!

Such an exciting time for you. Read all you can. Read different web sites via search engines. Read reviews of pros and cons. Take ZERO advice as 100% true because you will have your own take on many experiences. Cruising CAN be so much fun, and such a pleasure. Be open to new experiences and try new things. If one of your group wants to try BINGO, go along for the experience. Disco, dining, and daring adventures. Or, pools, pampering, and perfect sunsets. So many opportunities are lying in wait for you - this cruise, the next, the one after that, etc...

I think it is nice you want to share this with other friends/couples too. Bon Voyage!

Yep, most certainly is!Big Smile

You are welcome. The craziness will be there for debarkation as well. jut part of the process. I have been know to get too excited and make myself sick. So my advice is, don't do it! Take a couple of deep breaths and enjoy yourself.

Thank you for the headsup. I assume that there will a bit of craziness when we first board. I actually think I am so excited that I am starting to make myself sick so I need to calm down. LOL Work is on my last nerve lately so I can not wait to leave. I am definitely looking forward to getting away.

Just chatted with a friend on her first cruise. She was so excited before boarding, partially because of the stories we shared. Upon boarding yesterday she was disappointed because of the crowds, children and lack of space. It is strictly a boarding phenomenon because everyone is doing the same thing....don't let it bother you. Those of us who have cruised often forget how it feels to a first time cruiser. She sent a note today (sea day and everyone is still on-board) , saying it is so much better and the crowds seem to be so much smaller. I just don't want you to be overwhelmed that first afternoon.

Reading your posts is making me want to go with you! Wishing you the best adventure!

LOL! I love it! I have already told my sister that she has to come next year so we need to start making plans. We are also looking at who we think we would travel well with.

OMG.. One more day to work after today and then I am out of here!!!

Actually it's worse than that. It's because of these friends that I even considered going on a cruise in the first place, because they went on one not long ago and loved it. That's right, it's like a self-perpetuating circle of enabling and addiction.

Also I don't believe I've ever become addicted to something without actually trying it first....

You are what is known as an enabler. Not only are you addicted, but you are dragging your friends down with you Big Smile

Amateurs, all of you. Big Smile

I have yet to go on my first cruise, and have already booked the one after that. And two of my friends and I are talking about the one after that.

Or maybe it's not that you're all amateurs, but that I have a serious problem. Nervous
