Proof of Vaccination

I feel the same way. We have no issue showing our passport and credit xard numbers. Sharing the store location and the date of my shots is no big deal to me. Also, I just booked a cruise on Celebrity Equinox and was told you need to show your Original Vaccine Card. I sm bringing along a laminated copy as well for the port calls. If you have an Office Max/ Office Depot nearby you can get one for free.

I would love to know your sources. Not because I want to read them, but they're obviously full of misinformation and should be shut out of my life.

Well, as for "private information of a medical nature to a third party to exercise your rights to freedom of movement": I always assumed that was the case for international travel to certain destinations anyway (like parts of Africa, and I think Southeast Asia).

Likewise, considering the vast amount of private information you give out to use your phone, tablet, social media sites, apps, car & hotel rentals, airlines, long distance bus lines, train stations, travel agencies, etc - as it has already been said: how is this any different than anything you've already done with your private information.

Proof of vaccination for travel to certain parts of planet is just common sense; especially as some parts of world still have polio or typhoid fever outbreaks, and such.

I also would prefer to have vaccines mandatory to cruise. I think ports are going to be a problem without proof of vaccinations.

It may be a while before you get to go on a cruise then. For the foreseeable future with Carnival, prices are a lot higher than they were pre-COVID, and all the way through 2023 they are just as high.. To cruise with Carnival and not be vaccinated (at this time at least) you have to apply to be one of the 5% that is exempt (I see this being a thing for a little while at least) and it is not guaranteed that you would be chosen. At this time it's a long process, but I am sure they will get it down pat before too long. Also, to cruise unvaccinated (at this time) you will be testing before you leave for your cruise.. and several times during your cruise, and you have to pay for all of the tests except the 1st one when you arrive to the port will be free. You will have to wear your mask constantly, even in the pool. It can only be removed when taking a bite of food or a sip of your drink. It must be replaced in between each bite/sip. With Carnival, they will now have special bubble excursions that the unvaccinated folks can take.. no self-guided shopping etc. and if those bubble excursions sell out, you are not allowed off the ship. I understand everyone's right to not get vaccinated, but all of those regulations just seem like a pain in the rear.. and the reason we rescheduled our July 19th cruise because my 6 year old can not be vaccinated.

I truly hope that all of the restrictions will go away soon and that they can fully approve the vaccine for those who wish to receive it. I know all of us here want to get back to cruising!

Not willing to take that chance given that the experts seem to include Dr. Fauci. Many others with much more credibility seem to be against it confirming my sentiments. So glad that, at least for now, we can agree to disagree.

You're completely and totally wrong...other than that, you're completely within your rights to decline to cruise, or even get shots. GL2U!

Not a chance. If you're vaccinated supposedly you can't get Covid from me or give it to me. My decision should not be a concern.
