My wife and I have been on cruises in the Caribbean and love it! We have only tried Carnival but have been very happy. Our goal is to go on a cruise once a year :)
January 2019 - 6 Night Eastern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Conquest
Just what the Doctor ordered!
February 2018 - 6 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Vista
Overall great cruise!
Sail Date: January 27, 2019
I give this three stars because when the CD tells you to be careful because of crime at the port, it makes you really take notice.
Loved going to Margaritaville and just enjoying the pool and atmosphere. It can be pricey but I thought it was worth it considering we didn't do an excursion here.
This is a Carnival owned port I guess is the best way to put it. We bought some souvenirs here. There weren't many excursions that excited us so we went back to the ship a little early.
They have done a lot to this port in the last few years. We were here before and the overall snorkeling experience was much better.
The BBQ place is kind of hidden. You have to go on Lido deck and go towards the aft. When you are by the adult pool area, turn around, go through first set of doors and then up the stairs. The BBQ is actually pretty good!
We did the Salsa, Margarita, Salsa Dance excursion and loved it! We learned how to make different Margaritas, 6 different types of salsa, and they give you the recipes. Also by the time you dance you are pretty well buzzed from the Margaritas lol. Great time!
We've been here before. It is definitely beautiful but pretty pricey on shopping.
We love Miami. People are friendly and we just love the culture!
We just love the people in Jamaica and the culture and atmosphere. Yes some people can be pushey. I can understand why. They are a place of poverty.
Go to Guy's Pig and Anchor as soon as you board the ship if possible. It is a gem of a place to eat and gets rather busy but it is not busy the first day.
